HBT visited SDP’s new premises and undertook a thorough survey to ensure they had a full understanding of what was required. Chris Wood from HBT also met with Steph Paul to find out exactly what the company wanted to achieve with their new phone system.
SDP needed a phone system to support the business as it grew and one which would not result in costly monthly phone bills.
Taking on board all the different criteria, Chris recommended a Voice over IP (VOIP) system; this is where the phone connection works through the internet. The internet connection in the new building was fast enough to support VOIP and a VOIP system provided the flexibility that SDP needed without the costs.
HBT undertook re-cabling the whole building and made sure it was all configured to be up and running as quickly and as smoothly as possible.
SDP moved out of their old premises on Thursday afternoon, they had their phones up and running at the new premises by the next day.
I shopped around when I was trying to source a Telecoms company. HBT came recommended to me by one of our suppliers and although they were not the cheapest they were the only company who seemed to have really listened to our requirements and offered a solution to match those requirements. We did have reservations about VOIP as I was concerned about its reliability. Chris was great at reassuring us and in fact the system has been live for 16 months and we have not had any problems at all. Chris had told us about the potential cost savings of using a VOIP, and we are delighted that our phone bills are 50% cheaper than they were on our old system.
